The Hopwood Trot is a multi-terrain course of approximately Five and a half miles (8.8K) on the paths and tracks and country lanes surrounding historic Hopwood Hall on the outskirts of Middleton in Greater Manchester (not suitable for wheel chairs). Registration (number and Chip) collection is based in Sports Hall of the College and the start will take place at 7:00pm on the adjoining sports field before joining the course proper.
There are prizes for first three male and female finishers as well as 1st in age category, not forgetting the team prize for male and female. All this for just

Wednesday evening's Hopwood Trot took place under stormy skies and was won by Sophie Wood (Sale Harriers) in a time of 30:41 from Danny Bennett (Rochdale Harriers) 30:42 and Thomas Griffiths (St Helens Sutton) 31:00. Well done to Middleton runners Sharon Goldrick and John Hall for winning their age categories in last night's event.

The Hopwood Trot is a 2 lapped Multi terrain course (approx 5.5 mile) starting from Hopwood College in Middleton.
The JackRoy 10k replaces the race originally known as "The Moonraker ". It was named in memory of Jack our club President (1924-2013) and Roy Our club chairman (1932-2014) the Race route has been amended from the original one. Unfortunately to to problems with the registration area we are no longer holding this race.
